Today I made sushi. Being the lazy pos I am, I may or may not have undercooked the rice by not letting it sit after the rice cooker said it was done, so it didn’t exactly taste as good as it could have.

imagine how much easier it is to undercook the rive without a rice cooker…

it’s possible that you used too much water for the rice? i believe most types of japanese rice require 1:1 (1 cup of water per cup of rice) water portions? you probably didn’t undercook it but made it soggier. lower quality rice or glutenious rice are meant to be cooked with more water.
undercooked rice will end up being semi crunchy or hard.

It was a bit hard. I’m quite familiar with making sushi, but got impatient this time around.
